Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how WeatherX Analytics LLC ("WeatherX," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit weatherx.earth or use any related WeatherX web application, embed, or API (together, the "Platform"). It applies to visitors browsing the free interactive globe, registered Pro+ subscribers, and Enterprise customers, unless a separate written agreement with an Enterprise customer says otherwise.
By using the Platform you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Who we are
WeatherX Earth is operated by WeatherX Analytics LLC. Our registered address is 312 West 2nd Street #2275, Casper, WY 82601, USA. You can contact us about privacy matters at [email protected], or for general questions at [email protected].
2. Information we collect
We try to collect as little personal information as possible. What we collect depends on how you use the Platform.
Visitors using the free globe without an account: we do not require sign-up to explore the globe, view current weather layers, or use the Free tier’s forecast window. We use Google Analytics to understand overall usage of the Platform. This analytics data is anonymous and aggregated — it helps us see things like which layers or pages are popular, but it is not tied to your identity, and we do not store personal user data through analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the Platform.
Pro+ subscribers: if you create an account and subscribe to Pro+, we collect the information needed to set up and manage your account, such as your email address, authentication credentials, subscription and billing status, and any watchlist locations you save. We do not directly collect or store your full payment card details — payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe, which is PCI-compliant. We receive limited transaction information from Stripe (such as subscription status, plan, and payment confirmation) but not your full card number.
Enterprise customers: if you use our Enterprise services, API access, webhooks, or broadcast integrations, we collect the business and technical contact information needed to provision and support your account, plus usage and API call data needed for billing, rate limiting, and support. Enterprise data handling, including any additional data flows through your own systems, is further governed by your Enterprise agreement with us, which takes priority over this Policy where the two conflict.
Location and watchlist data: if you save watchlist locations, enable browser/device location, or request location-based briefings, we store the locations you choose so we can show you relevant conditions. You can remove saved locations from your account at any time.
Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies and similar technologies for core functionality (for example, keeping you signed in) and for Google Analytics, as described above. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to: operate and maintain the Platform and our proprietary weather forecasting and nowcasting technology; create and manage your account and subscription; process payments through Stripe and manage billing, upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations; provide the features you use, such as watchlists, briefings, exports, embeds, and API access; monitor, secure, and troubleshoot the Platform, including detecting abuse or fraud; understand aggregate, anonymous usage trends through Google Analytics so we can improve accuracy, performance, and features; communicate with you about your account, service changes, or support requests; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your personal information to train third-party advertising profiles.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the Platform: with service providers who process data on our behalf, such as our cloud hosting provider(s), our payment processor Stripe, and Google Analytics for anonymous usage analytics; with Enterprise customers or partners, only where you have a business relationship with them and only to the extent needed to provide the contracted service; if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to protect the rights, property, or safety of WeatherX, our users, or the public; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the new owner to continue to protect your information consistent with this Policy.
We require our service providers to protect personal information and to use it only for the purposes we specify.
5. International data transfers
WeatherX operates internationally. Our infrastructure runs on Google Cloud Platform in United States regions, with Cloudflare providing edge caching and content delivery closer to you. If you are located outside the United States, including in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may not have the same data protection laws as your home country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, for these transfers.
6. Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active, and for up to 1 year after your account is closed or becomes inactive, after which it is deleted or anonymized, unless a longer period is required for legal, accounting, tax, or security purposes. Analytics data collected through Google Analytics is anonymous and aggregated, and is retained according to our Google Analytics configuration.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. EEA/UK/Swiss residents have these rights under the GDPR and may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority. Residents of certain US states may have similar rights under applicable state privacy laws. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and remove saved watchlist locations, directly from Account Settings.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, restricted access to production systems, and PCI-compliant handling of payments through Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] so we can remove it.
10. Third-party links and embeds
The Platform may link to or be embedded within third-party websites, or may itself embed content from partners (for example, a broadcaster embedding the live globe). This Policy does not cover the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies separately.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users (for example, by email or an in-app notice) and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
12. Contact us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, contact us at [email protected] (privacy/legal) or [email protected] (general inquiries), or write to WeatherX Analytics LLC, 312 West 2nd Street #2275, Casper, WY 82601, USA.
