Weather warnings for operational decisions, since 2019.
WeatherX was founded in 2019 to answer one question that regional forecasts do not: is severe weather coming to this site, and is there still time to act on it? An operator with assets in the field needs a decision, not a probability across a whole region.
Since then we have built and run warning systems for wind, solar and agricultural operations, and the same storm-tracking engine now powers the WeatherX+ mobile app. It has been in continuous service, and continuously improved, ever since.
We are a small team of meteorologists and engineers. The people who write the warning logic are the same people who answer when you get in touch, so a question about a warning goes straight to someone who can explain it. When you talk to WeatherX, you talk to the people who run the system.
Severe weather is our own research field: six peer-reviewed publications between the founders.
